High level education on Negotiation and Geopolitics

Along more than 30 years in the military , I had opportunity to accumulate solid education and experience, far beyond the essentially military affairs , and to assume responsibilities within progressively higher and more complex Security and Defense environments and levels. The junior positions gave me a deep understanding of the human being needs and its consequences to the individual performance. The middle positions taught me the importance of the empowerment and how systems shall work correctly with the integration and coordination of its components. The senior positions of this path, besides cement the already mentioned competencies in higher levels, trained myself on how to plan and manage budgets ; and on why and how policy, strategy, operational design and tactical approach must be aligned. During this time, I worked always in advisory positions, leadership positions or training-related positions. Despite of the specificity of each period, competencies like Planning and Organizing , Comunications as well as Judgment and Decision- Making, were exercised on a routine basis and, sometimes, under high pressure. I am largely used to assess continuously a variety of security situations (threats, risks, crisis ,ecc) to formulate solutions in Brazil and abroad. Besides, i hold vast experience on revising and designing training programmes, teaching students and mentoring newcomers, which can be verified on my profile in LINKEDIN. I worked as instructor many times – in Brazil and abroad. My military career brought me the challenges of dealing with many different cultures , interests of diferent stakeholders , during Inter-Agency operations or UN PKO. Those experiences developed my building trust and accountability competencies. Currently, working as consultant, I use all this knowledge to meet my clients requirements,. I shall highlight my experience in: - training people for jungle and special forces operations; - training high level officers; - planning and executing security operations training programmes for the protection of persons, premises and property assigned to Brazilian embassies in Ivory Coast and Congo – as As Special Forces Btn Commander; - joint planning and execution of interagency security operations conducted by the Special Operations Command during the FIFA Confederations Cup2013 , World Youth Day, 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games , all in BRAZIL. The mission was to coordinate the national efforts towards the prevention and combat the terrorist threat. I was COS. The human being and teamwork have always been the capstone of my action. For a successful approach in it, I had to refine my ability on how to delegate responsibilities and authority to subordinates , how to manage performances - establishing goals and indicators, as well as monitoring and measuring results/deliveries.
